The Weill Cornell Cornea Service recently hosted visiting professor and noted refractive surgeon Jonathan H. Talamo, MD, Associate Clinical Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Talamo Laser Eye Consultants, to observe laser vision correction procedures with the department's state-of-the-art 60 Hertz femtosecond Intralase laser. Weill Cornell corneal specialists Kimberly Sippel, MD and Christopher Starr, MD performed a variety of advanced refractive procedures, assisted by the department's additional refractive surgeons Mark Rosenblatt MD, PhD and Edward Lai, MD in the Refractive Laser Suite on the 12th floor of the Weill Greenberg Center. Dr. Talamo gave a very interesting Grand Rounds that evening on the subject of Refractive Aspects of Cataract Surgery, and held a lively breakfast conference with the residents and fellows the following morning.
